Automatically send statements to your customers
Statey is a Xero app that automatically emails statements of account (SOAs) to your customers on a schedule you control — far more than 'weekly or monthly'.
Set it up once and Statey handles your statement runs: statements are generated from your live Xero data and attached to personalised emails as PDF, Excel, or both.
The schedule builder
Your schedule can run:
- Every 1–15 weeks on any weekday you choose, or every 1–15 months
- Monthly on any date from the 1st to the 28th, or on the last day of the month
- Or monthly on a named weekday — e.g. the first Monday or the last Friday of the month
- At any hour of the day, in your organisation's own timezone
As you configure, Statey shows a plain-English summary and the next four run dates, so there's no guessing. You can pause and resume a schedule at any time.
Choose who receives statements
Each schedule targets either all customers or any Xero contact group, further filtered by: everyone in the list, active customers, customers with an outstanding amount, customers with outstanding amounts or available credit, or only customers with an overdue amount. Individual customers can always be excluded via the Don't Send list.
Before a run, the schedule preview shows exactly who will receive the next statement run — including counts of missing email addresses, excluded contacts and contacts with issues.
Fresh data, safe sends
- Statey syncs with Xero continuously, and runs an extra sync in the hour before your schedule fires, so statements reflect the latest data (Standard and Pro plans).
- If the Xero contact group behind a schedule is deleted, Statey blocks the run and alerts your admins instead of emailing the wrong audience.
Multiple schedules
On the Pro plan you can run multiple schedules side by side — different customer groups, different statement templates, different email templates, even different sending addresses.

Can I send statements fortnightly, or on the 1st of every month?
Yes — every 1–15 weeks or months, on any weekday, any date up to the 28th, the last day of the month, or a named weekday like the first Monday.
Can I send only to customers who owe money?
Yes — filter a schedule to customers with an outstanding amount, or only those with an overdue amount.
What file format are the statements?
PDF by default; Excel or both on Standard and Pro plans.
